DIY: Industrial Rustic Dining Table

I was in need of a major dining area makeover. My old table barely fit two people, and i just didn’t like it!

Here’s the before:

What you will need:

1 x 4 pieces of wood (quantity depending on size of your table)

At least 3 quarts of Minwax stain (i did 3 different colors).

A rag

Short, thick screws

Screwdriver

A circular saw (handheld electric saw)

Table legs:  if you want the industrial look, i suggest using old steel legs. The legs i used are 1950’s “hairpin style” legs. I found them on eBay for $60.

You can also make legs out of wood (29″ ) , or buy them at IKEA.

STEP 1:

 Make the frame of the table. After you’ve decided on a shape and size, you like, cut 4 pieces of wood, lay them on their side and screw them together.
